MicroPak Enclosure Custom Tailoring

Tailoring: Sizing

Each style has 2 width choices, 2 height choices and a variable length. The length dimension (front to back) of any MicroPak enclosure is easily varied.

When the length required is greater than the standard length, C Style should be limited to 15″ (385mm) and D and E styles limited to 24″ (610mm). If the length required is shorter than the standard in any style, material savings can offset setup costs in quantities as small as 10-25 pieces.

Enhanced Electrical Shielding Options

Optimize the performance and reliability of your electrical enclosures with enhancements designed to improve electrical shielding.

Remove nonconductive anodize finishes from flanges, replaced with clear iridite for enhanced conductivity.

Upgrade covers by substituting vinyl-clad aluminum covers with anodized aluminum, featuring iridite-coated inside surfaces.

Add two extra screws to the cover for better electrical contact.

Substitute speed nuts with durable captive nuts for secure and long-lasting assembly.

Self-Clinching Inserts: Captive nuts, standoffs, or studs.

Overlays can be shipped to Lansing for application and secondary mechanical operations. They become cost-effective in the 250-1,000-piece range depending on the number of colors involved.

Materials

Special materials can also be specified. Vinyl-clad aluminum can be used in place of the standard vinyl-clad steel covers. Bezels and end caps can be molded in a variety of plastics.
